Nonfood labelling

Cosmetic products launched in the Czech Republic and offered to customers through retail and wholesale are given constant attention from the public health protection authorities. Cosmetic products are checked both at importers and manufacturers, supermarkets, chemist shops and market stalls.State health authority controls are then set out to see whether there is used and offered a safe product labelled by all mandatory data and whether consumer has information on the correct and safe use in the czech language available.

Labelling of cosmetic products is provided for in Regulation of the European Parliament and Council Regulation (EC) No 1223/2009 on cosmetic products and in Decree No. 448/2009 Coll. as amended, on hygienic requirements for cosmetic products.
